Foot patrol (04/10/2025)

Just under 3 miles of open space patrols were completed, along with every street visited, during Rick's 13.40-mile thriller this evening.

Rick focused on a ward priority first thing, with the likes of the Eastbrookend Country Park (5.10pm) and Footpath 18 covered over almost an hour, before Great Cullings, Eastbrook Drive (6.16pm), Fels Fam Mews and Valentines Way.

All of Parish Fields followed (6.31pm, p), as well as both side of Dagenham Road, including Lincoln Avenue (7.03pm), Laurel Crescent, Strood Avenue (7.33pm) and Leonard Avenue (7.54pm).

It was into Central Park (p) to check on Wisdons Close (8.09pm) and Alex Guy Gardens, and then back towards Luke Allsopp Square (8.22pm) in the Parkside beat.

From here, visits included a loop of Woodshire Road, Hooks Hall Drive (8.43pm, p), Birch Gardens, Home Gardens (8.52pm), Fir Tree Walk (8.56pm), Macdonald Avenue (9.02pm) and Eastbrook Close (9.10pm).

The patrol, in Rick's Top 40 longest, was finalised with checks on Felhust Crescent and Delvers Mead (9.16pm) behind the Eastbrook PH.
